Hamlet: That's two weapons but well...
Rapier and Dagger is the perfect stage combat skill for the classical actor and is brandished by famous characters from Mercutio to Hamlet. The classic style of "double fence," Rapier and Dagger requires a full body commitment and is a challenging, dynamic and complex style of swordplay. R&D is grounded and gritty and this course will cover all the basics of stage swordplay - both safeties and acting techniques. Class will conclude with a performance of a fight, complete with scene, for a Society of American Fight Director’s Skills Proficiency Test. An SPT is an excellent caveat for an actor, director or teacher’s growing resume.
