Stage Combat Teacher

GEOFFREY KENT is currently the President of the Society of American Fight Directors and has worked as an instructor of stage combat in three countries and coast to coast within the United States. Based out of Denver, Colorado, his current teaching positions include the National Theatre Conservatory (an MFA program associated with the Denver Center for the Perfoming Arts) and the University of Denver. Recent adjunct faculty/guest artist positions include the North Carolina School of the Arts, Louisiana State University's MFA program, University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Geoffrey has instucted at numerous national and international conferences including the Paddy Crean International Stage Combat Workshop in Canada and the Advanced Actor Combatant Workshop for the Society of American Fight Director's National Stage Combat Workshops in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has appeared at regional workshops in Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Louisiana and New York City and is the coordinator of The Rumble in the Rockies, an annual stage combat weekend intensive hosted by the Denver Center Theatre Academy. His popular master classes include Western Gun Tricking, Good Cop/Bad Cop, Barroom Swashbuckling, Gratuitous Knife Kills, Bang Bang You're Dead, One on One on One and many many more. Workshops and classes can be built to suit.
